The monocrystalline jewelry material on basis of aluminium garnets of the general formula Re3 Al5 O12, wherein Re = Y. Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Lu, which material contains two coloring additives, one of which consists of europium in 10-3 - 3 % by weight or ytterbium in 0,1-61,3 % by weight, and the other additive consists of either zirconium or silicon in 10-4 - 1 % by weight, or of hafnium in 10-3 - 3 % by weight. Said material has a color, which varies smoothly from green to violet.
