The invention relates to a device for supporting the elbow joints (9) of a person employed in polishing glass articles on a work stage (1) of a polishing machine. It consists essentially of an elastic supporting ring (5) arranged flat and of essentially round cross-section. The elbow joint (9) can be inserted into the clear width (8) of the supporting ring.
