The method according to the invention relates to the conveying of fluids at a temperature differing from the ambient one. It relates, in particular, to the conveying of hot water under pressure, or of steam. In this method, use is made of prefabricated elements comprising two concentric metal pipes, the ends of which are joined together by a rigid and leaktight connection. A thermal insulator is preferably accommodated in the gap between the two pipes. This method can be applied to the production of pipelines which do not comprise expansion-compensating devices or which only comprise a reduced number thereof. IMAGE
