Polyene macrolide antibiotic derivs.I; M = polyene macrolide antibiotic moiety contg. an amino sugar moiety with the NH2 group substituted with R; R = H, COOt(Q)(OH)p(NR2R3)n(Q = C1-10 sat. hydrocarbon moiety; R2 and R3 = H, C1-3alkyl, C1-3 aminoalkyl; t = 0,1; p = 0-4; n = 1-3), CO(Q)(R4)NHCO(Q)(R5)NR6R7(Q = same; one of R4 and R5 is H and the other is NHCO(Q)NR6R7; R6 and R7 = H, C1-3 alkyl); R8-X, X = His, Tyr, Trp, Arg, Phe, Pro, R8 = H; R8-X = an -N-(H2N)m(Q)CO-deriv. of the above amino acid residues(Q = same, m = 1 or 2)' R1 = H, C1-10 alkyl, allyl, propagyl, CH2Ph, phenylpropagyl; Z = 0,1 were prepd. as fungicides.
