APPARATUS FOR TREATMENT OF COMBUTION GAS USED AS INERTGAS IN ANTI-EXPLOSIVE SYSTEM

An apparatus for the treatment of combustive gas can be used in an explosion-proof system and has lower equipment construction and operation costs. The main componets of the apparatus are a cylinder with a spray nozzle, a liquid storage chamber, a whirlpool-type path, and a gas-liguid separation chamber. Combustive gas is cooled and dust is removed in the cylinder. The gas is sprayed with a water mist, and sulfur dioxide is removed from the combustive gas as it flows into the whirlpool-type path. The following diagrams provide a schematic process flow sheet of the inert gas explosion-proof system for an oil tanker.
