The monoazo compounds having a fibre-reactive radical conform in the form of free acid to the formula I IMAGE where D is the radical of the formula (a) or (b) IMAGE R1 is hydrogen, (1-4C)alkyl or (1-4C)alkoxy, m and n are each 1 or 2, p is 0 or 1 and n + p is 2 or 3, R2 is (1-4C)alkyl or else, when D is a radical (b), hydrogen, R3 is (1-4C)alkyl and Hal is fluorine, chlorine or bromine. They are prepared by reacting cyanuric halide with the compound of the formula II and the compound of the formula III IMAGE in any desired order or else by coupling the diazonium compound of the amine of the formula IV onto a compound of the formula V. IMAGE The compounds of the invention are used in processes for dyeing and printing hydroxyl- and amido-containing organic substrates.
