The spin-stablised missile with a proximity fuse uses radar, infrared or laser transmitters. It is used against ground targets. The angle of impact can be individually set and the dispersion height correspondingly corrected. By a predetermined dependence of the explosion height w.r.t. the angle of impact in the target area, a directive pattern of the fuse sensor is selected which is non rotational symmetric w.r.t. the length axis of the missile. The fixing criterion is derived from the amplitude modulation depth of the fuse receiver oscillations resulting from the non-symmetrical directive pattern. The middle output signal amplitude in the receiving channel of the fuse is kept constant. The angle of impact is derived through measuring the rise in amplitude.
