The switch has also trip-free release. It has a knob operating the contacts and can be released by the bimetal strip through a locking device. It has a pin on a side opposite to the locking device, and a contact set projecting outwards through the holes in the switch cover, for the switch connection with a device for protection under voltage and a phase failure. The pin (1) of the operating knob (2) engages a protective device cam disc (4) moving to and fro, which in turn is connected through a contact (10) to a spring-loaded slide (14) coupling it to an electromagnetic holding unit (16) of the protective device.
