The device comprises an electric mouth rinsing spray (1) with a detachable electric toothbrush (4). The spray (1) has a supply lead (2) with a pin connector which can be fitted into a razor socket, while the toothbrush (4) has a short lead (6) with an end connector (7) fitting into a socket chamber (3) integral with the spray (1). This socket chamber (3) is pref. accessible from underneath and it has a protective cover plate (8) held in position by a screw (9), the sidewall of the socket chamber (3) contacted directly when the toothbrush (4) is attached to the spray (1). The toothbrush lead (6) extends from a point close to the wall which contacts the socket chamber (3).
