Arrangement for generating mechanical vibrations by means of rotating unbalance weights

An arrangement for generating mechanical vibrations has rotating unbalance weights, the interaction of which can be varied. The intention is, in an arrangement of this kind, to allow the effect achieved by means of the unbalance weights to be varied rapidly, reliably and in fine steps, allowing the amplitudes produced to be adapted to the particular requirements within wide limits, and to do this with a low outlay. It is proposed to provide one of the unbalance weights on a shaft and to provide a second balance weight on a coaxial hollow shaft surrounding the first shaft, allowing the unbalance weights, which are coupled in their initial position, to be decoupled by axial displacement of the hollow shaft and, after phase adjustment as desired, recoupled frictionally and/or in a positive-locking manner.
