A method for launching munitions from a combat aircraft is proposed. The combat aircraft has a weapon computer which determines the distance of flight and the direction of the flight path (trajectory). The weapon computer defines the values of the distance of flight and the flight direction and, in addition to this, the elevation and azimuth viewing angles to the expected impact point (5) on the ground are determined. A release sensor (2) for launching the munition is controlled from the abovementioned values such that it is always looking at the impact point (5) during flight. The expected impact point (predicted impact point) (5) is superimposed on a target object and the launch of the munition is initiated purely by the sensors when they coincide. IMAGE
