The invention relates to a method of using outgoing-air heat from living rooms for heating the fresh air or cooling the fresh air. According to the invention, this is achieved by a Peltier element being used as working element, which, as required corresponding to summer months or winter months, guides the outgoing air over the hot side of the Peltier system and conversely, for heating and cooling, supplies the fresh air to the room to suit requirements.
