The invention relates to a laying method for loose concrete paving stones and interlocking concrete stones which are produced in the laying arrangement and installed with laying devices (20). The achievement of the aim lies in preventing the individual stones separating. The aim is achieved by the laying unit being pressed with constant or intermittent recurrent counterpressure from the sand-side jaw against the already laid concrete stones during lowering, while the stone-side jaw releases the unit and sets the dead weight of the laying unit down in the sand foundation. The counterpressure can be effected with mechanical devices by human force, springs, hydraulic cylinders with air pressure or a co-sliding jaw (93). IMAGE
