The invention relates to a process and equipment for improving the desulphurisation of waste gases according to a dry chemisorption process for power stations burning fossil or refuse-type fuels, the fresh lime or the chemisorbent being fed downstream of the first partial dust-precipitating device at (3) to a chemisorption technology with downstream filter (4) and the discharged chemisorbent, preferably exclusively from the vessel (5), being fed to the reactor section (9) upstream of the first precipitation stage (2) and, if desired a further quantity of chemisorbent being fed from the region (5) to the boiler region and heat exchanger region (1).
