The invention relates to a slack reinforcement for reinforced concrete components subjected to bending stress and having inserted tension members. This reinforcement is characterised by closed reinforcement loops comprising members connected to one another at their ends in the form of a loop, the reinforcement loops possessing the tension members of a truss frame having, for example in the case of a single-span beam, loop ends raised into the upper corners of the beam. In combination with this, provision is made for part of the reinforcement loops to form the tie member of an arch/strut frame having flat-lying loop ends. By virtue of the combination of the truss-frame analogy with the arch/strut-frame analogy, a particularly economical reinforcement is made possible, which confers the particular reinforced concrete component high bearing capacity.
