The circuit arrangement serves to control systems, e.g. telecommunications switching systems, in real-time operation. A central computer (MP1) is relieved by transferring some of the control tasks to a computer (MP2) connected upstream. The two computers exchange data and control signals in asynchronous mode. However, in order to allow exchanged time information to be checked, both computers must have synchronised time meters. The computers (MP1, MP2) are interconnected via an asynchronous interface circuit (AIF), via which they exchange data and control signals.
