The customer-specific and system-specific set-up data are compared with the set-up data of different standard systems held in a data library and, if a correspondence of all the set-up data of the planned telephone system is identified, an instruction to control an appropriate correspondence protocol is transmitted to the output device and, if non-correspondence is identified, the set-up data, in a first creation phase, are compared via the comparator by means of a first test data generator with the master data held in a test data master device containing data describing the hardware, and the data of the customer-specific system set-up are identified and sent as results via a converter to an output device.
