The 'J' section metal anchor plate (2) is for utilisation in fixing the cladding sheets of industrial buildings to sheeting rails (1) of an 'I' or a 'T' section. The curved foot (5) of the 'J' is relatively narrow and fits over a rail flange (8) whilst accommodating a fixing bolt (3). The head has an approximately square return (13) which engages the opposite flange (20) and includes a cut-out cranked flap (14). The bolt may have an enlarged head (12), a square section neck (11), and a stem (19) of reduced dia. preceding a threaded main shaft (18). A square hole (10) locates the neck (11) and the narrow sector of a keyhole slot (15) locates the stem.
