TV receiver data display and control system - uses multicore cable having cores for transmitting and receiving data to and from TV receiver and control unit

The TV receiver display and control system uses an exterior control unit connected to the receiver by a cable. The cable has at its ends a multipin connector designed to plug into the control unit and television receiver. The cable includes cores for transmission of signals from the receiver to the control unit. There are also cores for transmitting signals from the control unit to the receiver and cores for picking up the control units electrical supply from the receiver. The multipin plug permits signals to be sent from receiver to control unit obtained from peaks of the television receivers line synchronisation timing signals.
