The rotary mower attachment can be fitted to a power driven cultivator. The mower has one or more blades rotated about a vertical axis. The cultivator (1) has a power take-off (4) to which the shaft (11) of the mower is coupled. The mower is connected to the cultivator by flange (14a) on tube (14) which encloses shaft (11). The cutter is driven via a part gear train (10, 12). A deflector (15) covers the trajectory of blade (9) except at the front. Skids (16) support the mower and their height is adjustable to vary the height of cut.
