The valve body is a standard pipe connection body having two opposed co-axial tubular parts separated by a central chamber and either a third tubular part normal to the first two or two further co-axial tubular parts normal to the first two. One tubular part of a co-axial pair has a valve seat. A valve rod with a valve member at one of its ends is slidable in the other tubular part of the pair. A temperature sensitive actuator permits the valve to be opened by the pressure applied to it.
