摘要
Incorporating a cylindrical rotor (10) in a sleeve stator (12) the key-actuated cylinder lock uses bi-laterally displaceable sliding discs (14) or plates to relate the rotor to the stator. Coil springs hold the discs in a repose position wherein edge outstands (16, 17) engage stator bore recesses (20, 21) to effect locking, liberation being effected by the insertion of a multi-webbed key (30) of which coded angular web (32) undulations displace the discs and clear the rotor to stator interface. The key has two or more webs (32) and may be of an 'L' or a cruciform cross-section, thus, imparting bi-lateral movement to the discs, and stator bore notches are in diametrically opposed pairs. The two components (28, 29) of disc movement may be perpendicular, the stator having bore recesses (20-23) at 90 deg. intervals, and the discs having identical square key holes (26).
