Self-regulating resistor - for temp. stabilisation of a connection point used e.g. in thermocouples

Self regulated device for temp. stabilisation of at least one connection point having a plug-in connector, comprises at least one resistance with a positive temp. coefft. of resistance (TCR) supplied with a constant electric tension, good thermal contact between the part of the device occupied by the connection point and the material of the resistance, being ensured. The resistance with positive TCR is made from 97% of (Ba0.9Sr0.1)0.993 Y 0.00 TiO3; 2% TiO2; 1% SiO2; 0.04% MnO. Also claimed is a similar device using two resistors of similar but slightly different compsn. Used in thermocouples as temp. holding and stabilising devices in the temp. range -200 to +1800 degrees C and above. The subjection of an enclosure to a stabilised temp. is avoided.
