摘要
The locking system for a window includes two bars (123, 124) which are pushed outwards in opposite directions (F2, F3) for locking in recesses, and pulled inwards together again for unlocking. These are driven by an rotating block (125) to which an operating handle is connected. The woodwork of the window frame has vertical recesses to hold the sliding bars, and holes at right angles to these recesses to receive the rotating block and for screws to secure the housing retaining the block. This block has teeth (134, 135) projecting from its periphery which fit into holes (143, 144) in the upper bar (123) to raise and lower it when the block is rotated. A flexible strap (140) secured around another part of the periphery of the block also carries teeth (150) which fit into holes (151) in the lower bar (124) to move it in the opposite direction at the same time.
