Elastomeric sealing bead for window pane - has right angled triangular section with sealing lips and fixing channel masked by clip-down flap

The elastomeric bead (1) is used to fix the edge of a glass panel (13) in a rebated window frame (15). It includes lips (7, 32) which effect a contact seal with glazed and timber surfaces, and inc. a fixing channel (9) with a hinged clip-down masking flap (6). The bead is of an approximate right angled triangular section with the perpendicular faces contacting the glazing and the frame shelf (2) respectively. A rear face rebate (4) may locate a glazing shim (12) and a triangular groove (5) may define an elongated tapered lip (7) which seals onto the glazing. The inclined face may have a triangular groove locating fixing nails.
