Slow running jet for IC engine - has air fuel mixing chamber opened on closure of carburettor receiving air and fuel for engine

The jet is fitted in a housing and has an annular air intake passage and a central fuel inlet passage. The air passes along the side passages to the mixing chamber. The jet is adjustable by means of a central conical valve mounted on to a screwed spindle and fitted with an adjusting screw and a compression spring. The conical valve is closed when the engine runs normally under load and opens when the carburetor butterfly valve closes to provide sufficient fuel to the engine.
