Strong, flexible, abrasion resistant wire-cable construction - using preformed strands comprising preformed, twisted wire strands with helical inter-contact surfaces

A wire-cable construction combining high strength, abrasion resistance and flexibility uses pre-formed strands which themselves consist at least partly of preformed, twisted-wire strands with helical inter-contact surfaces. The twisted wires form at least the outer surfaces of the strands, replacing larger-diameter single wires to increase the flexibility of the cable whilst preserving high abrasion resistance.
