Remote controlled referee unit for martial arts - allows display of scores, bout and pause period timing by independent clocks, and permits announcements using remote control stations

The device comprises a housing whose front face has a centre panel identifying the different types of sports which may be played and two outer panels for keeping the appropriate scores of the two competitors. The respective outer panels have differently coloured lights which are illuminated in turn to display scores. The device includes a microprocessor, bell and two loudspeakers, for example for announcements. An upper panel also display two independent programmable counters one of which counts down through the alloted competition time to zero and the other counts break periods or pauses during the competition. The counters are formed by coloured lamps. The device includes a battery and charger.
