Ground level assembly of large vertical storage reservoirs - uses single central lifting column inside ring to raise roof for insertion of subsequent rings

The metal reservoir base plate is placed on the ground, a metal ring section is placed on and the roof section is welded on top. The lifting column which can be worked by hydraulic jack is placed in the centre and pushes the roof section and the first ring section up at least one ring height so that the next ring section can be slid into place at ground level. The second ring section is then welded to the base of the first and the procedure repeated until the total reservoir height is achieved.
