The aerosol can carrier unit is fixed to a wall (30) and adapts to various aerosol can (11) dimensions by raising or lowering a sliding base plate (15) which is locked in place with a set screw (17). The aerosol can is held in place by a chain (27) which is pulled tight around it and clipped to the support (2) of the assembly. Vertical ridges on the support centre the aerosol can so its operating valve (10) is placed immediately below a vertical pin (8), passing through a ledge (9) fixed to the support, which may be brought down to operate the aerosol valve (10) by a pivoted (4) lever (3) and fixed ledge (9) returns the lever to its rest position. The support (2) is mounted on the wall (30) by a pivot so the can may be shaken by an oscillatory rotary action round the pivot.
