Industrial multi-storey building - uses octagonal floor module of four lozenge shape slabs with columns in centre notches of alternate sides

The industrialised system uses standard precast reinforced concrete components to build multi-storey buildings. It uses square columns (1) to a square plan grid and in floor-height sections, with lozenge shaped slabs (2) connecting the columns to form suspended floors. Each slab (2) is rectangular with an identical 45 degree splay to each corner, is equal in length to the clear column interval, and fits longitudinally between two columns once installed. The smaller parallel slab side equals that of the column, four slabs fitting together to form a right octagonal plan module with columns located by triangular centre notches in alternate sides. A square centre slab (7) completes the floor module.
