摘要
The self-propelled pavement-sweeper takes the form of a motor cycle (1), for gathering canine excrement from footways. It uses two recoil sprung lever arms (6) which comprise motorised brush (13) holders (5), the driver pushing the arms down with his feet to bring the brushes into contact with the ground. Brush drive is by coupling to the cycle's power unit (3), and may use a notched belt and pinion transmission, with trapezoidal section return belts. The arm may comprise a casing for a brush and a collection bag, with basal window through which a brush segment projects. Gas struts (32) may effect arm recoil, and the brushes may be substituted by vacuum heads.
