The present invention relates to a method of preparation of phosphoric acid by a wet route, in a rock decomposing phosphate containing the uranium with sulphuric acid and phosphoric acid, this method comprising the step of forming a gypsum hemihydrate in a solution containing phosphoric acid. / p & & p & according to the invention, the gypsum hemihydrate is formed in the presence of an oxidizing agent in the solution, in a quantity sufficient to make the uranium dissolved in the solution which is substantially totally hexavalent. / p & & p & the invention makes it possible in particular to improve the content of the uranium into a solution of phosphoric acid.
