N-1-imidazolyl-or 1,2,4-triazin-1-yl-carbonyl-aniline derivs. - antimicrobials active against phytopathogenic mycetes, such as piricularia, phytophtora, pythium, fusarium etc.
N-(Imidazol-1-yl and 1,2,4-triazin-1-yl-carbonyl) N-(X)-R1, R2, R3, R4-substd.-aniline derivs. of formula (I) are new (where R1, R2, R3, R4 independently are H, halo, 1-4C alkyl, 1-8C alkoxy (opt. substd. by halo or 1-4C alkoxy), 3-6C alkenyloxy (opt. substd. by halo) or benzyloxy or phenoxy (opt. substd. by halo, cyano, 1-4C alkyl or 1-4C alkoxy gps.); Y is -CH or N; X is -CHR5-(CH2)m-COOR6 or 5-R7-tetrahydro-furan-2-one-3-yl (Gp.A); m is 0 or 1; R5 is H, 1-3C alkyl or phenyl; R6 is 1-6C alkyl (opt. substd. by halo, 1-4C alkoxy or phenyl), 3-6C alkenyl, 3-6C alkynyl or 3-6C cycloalkyl (opt. substd. by halo) and R7 is H or methyl). Used as antimicrobials active against phytopathogenic mycetes, such as ascomycetes (e.g. Erysephacea and Fusarium spp.), basidiomycetes, rust mycetes (e.g. Puccinia), fungi imperfecti (e.g. Moniliales such as Cercospora and Pircularia), Peronosporales of the oomycetes class, such as Phytophtora, Pythium and Plasmopara. (I) are used to treat seeds, fruit, flowers, foliage, buds, shoots, roots, soil, etc. (I) are formulated by classical methods, opt. with other active cpds., such as bactericides, fungicides, insecticides, acaricides, herbicides or growth regulants.
