Electronic ergometer - detects arrhythmic heart beat using EGC system and provides warning to user

The ergometer detects an arythmic heart beat and warns the user. This is achieved by linking an ECG to the ergometer, which includes a detector circuit. This recognises the arithmic signal produced by the ECG probe which is attached to the patients chest. The detector circuit (19) derives the heart signal from an ECG (4) and feeds it to a monostable (20). Body movements are converted into electrical signals by a transducer (5) followed by a pulse producing comparator (6). The resulting pulses enable a HF-generator (7) and the physical effort is registered by a counter (13). Another oscillator (16) generates the warning signal released by the detector output. The effort exerted at that time is stored in a memory (15).
