摘要
The support is connected to one pole of an electricity supply so it forms an electrode(a), on which a thin wire(b) is placed. A round metal cylinder, esp. a wire(c) is placed on wire(b), so the longitudinal axes of the two wires are at 90 deg. w.r.t. each other. An electrode(d) of opposite polarity to the support(a) to weld wire(b) to the support(a). Cylinder(c) may be partly round, and/or may form an integral part of electrode(d). When the cylinder(c) is a wire, it is pref. made of Ni-Cr not welding to wire(b) or to the support(a). Alternatively, wire(c) may be welded to wire(b) during the process. A pref. application is the mfr. of an explosive igniter, where Cu wires(c) are soldered to conductor wires made of a Cu-Ni alloy. Only a point contact is made between wires (b,c) so the distortion of wire(b) can be avoided if required. Alternatively, wire(b) may be forged or flattened during welding.
