Harvesting machine for grapes - moves between rows of vines and has double row of pivoted flaps forming base to tip fallen grapes onto pair of longitudinal transporters
The grape harvester has a pair of longitudinally extending conveyors (2), which move along the ground on either side of the row of vines. The space between the conveyors is occupied by two longitudinal rows of overlapping flaps (1). Each flap is mounted on an axis (3) which can be rotated to tilt all the flaps of one row between a generally horizontal position and a vertical position. This tilting action tips the collected grapes onto the two lateral conveyors. The axes can be driven by an electric motor or pneumatic or hydraulic jacks.
