Protective clothing for sporting purposes, esp. cycling incorporates waterproof, impermeable panels covering the front and rear of the torso and overlapping but disconnected panels entirely covering the front of the upper and lower parts of the legs without restricting the flexibility of the knees. The impermeable panels covering the torso are narrower at the top than adjacent to the crutch. The remainder of the torso and the rear of the legs are enclosed by panels complementary to the impermeable panels of permeable fabric(s), to ventilate the body. The impermeable panels are therefore selectively located as barriers against impinging wind and rain when the sportsman is active. No specific materials quoted.
