摘要
The dry powder contains zinc oxide, zinc sulphate, and one or more addns. (I) such as sugar, sugar-xylitol, icing sugar, dextrin, flour, lactose and/or calcium lactate. Addns. (I) retard the formation of oxysulphates in the water, and also form a binder so the cement can be agglomerated by the pressure of human fingers. The pref. dry powder contains by wt. 10-90% ZnO; 10-90% ZnSO4, H2O; and 0-90% addns. (I). The cement is pref. used for the provisional filling of tooth cavities in dentistry, and sets in less than 3 minutes. The cement may also be used in all types of industrial work, esp. in buildings for making seals, coatings, tiles, imitiation stone etc. The dry powder can be stored indefinitely in the absence of moist air; but when mixed with water it forms oxysulphates by a very rapid and exothermic reaction.
