The display unit includes an upright panel which carries information about the goods on display, forming the back of a tray holding a number of items for sale. The tray consists of a shallow carton, with a front panel and side panels. In the base of the tray there is a cassette player, with an opening in the front or side to allow insertion of a cassette. Control buttons are also accessible through these openings. Linked to the cassette player is a pair of earphones which an interested visitor may use. When not in use, the earphones may be hung on the back of the upright display panel.
