摘要
The meter (0) comprises a rotating disc (1) and spindle (2) as found in presently existing analogue meters. The rotating disc contains perforations (3), notches (4) or optical or magnetic marks (5) individually or in combination, which pass under a photoelectric cell (6) as the disc rotates. When the photoelectric cell detects a hole, notch or mark it emits a digital signal which is relayed via a coaxial cable (7) - which may be up to 100 metres long - to an electronic circuit (8) for processing of information and for counting the digital signals produced. The electronic circuit comprises a memory block which is able to interpret the series of received impulses in terms of energy consumed and express it in established units of measurement. The memory block allows the selection and storage of this information and also of an individual identification code for each metre.
