Fender for cylindrical columns in tidal waters - uses projecting structures to support sliding support points for fender cable

A tubular steel and cable fender for the legs of offshore structures comprises two support rings one above the other from which projecting structures support a heavy cable fender in the form of a continuous cable which runs in a tubular guide at each support point. The duration of the fender on the leg may be adjusted by lifting cables to allow for tidal variations and at each support point on the rings an anti-friction bearing material is used to facilitate the raising and lowering of the device. Used for the protection of the legs esp. of reinforced concrete offshore structures.
