A length of transparent film (2) is mounted on the arcuate supports (1) of a cloche by retainers (4) slidably mounted on each support. Each retainer has a U-shaped lever (10) pivotally mounted within a housing with one end (10a) carrying a ring (12) which projects through an opening in the housing to encircle the support. The other end of the lever (10c) carries a pivoting block (9) from which an adjustment lever (22) projects. The housing (4) has a cavity (4d) facing the block in which the edge of the film is inserted. A transverse bar (6) is also inserted into the cavity to retain the film and the pivoting block bears against the outer face of the bar via an interposed bearing (3).
