The sail board (1) stabiliser has a frame (3) and fixings (6,10) to the board, with supporting floats (4) at each end. The height of the floats is adjustable. The frame is made of long, parallel, tubes (5), connected near the centre by stays (6), which rest on the board. The fixings have a non skid spacer between them and the board. Fixing is via a strap (9) with an end tensioning anchor (10), guided in openings (8) in the fixings. The floats are fitted by an end rod (22) with a flat engaging face. A pivoted, cover plate (12) is fitted in the centre.
