Implement for removing artichoke suckers - uses pivot arms pinned to legs on frame to mount tools with motor

The manually propelled implement is for remoVing the suckers from artichokes after the harvest. It comprises a portal frame (1) mounted on wheels (6) or skids and with an articulated (9) arm (7) cantilevering from each leg. Each arm has a handle (8) together with a sucker-cutting tool (13) and its motor. The tools may take the form of milling cutters (13) or belts, the former being offset longitudinally. The belt type tool comprises two endless motorised belts travelling at speeds greater than that at which the implement is propelled, using two belt runs in close proximity to pinch and cut the suckers.
