The multi-purpose leisure vehicle comprises a caravan-cum-boat incorporating floats (1,2,9) which, when not in use, are secured to the end walls and roof of the living quarters (3) by bolts. When deployed, the floats (1,2,9) are secured together along the bottom of the living quarters (3) to form a catamaran. The floats attach to telescopic supports which pull out from beneath the lateral edges of the floor of the living quarters (3), so that the floats form a peripheral gallery about the vehicle. The floats have chamfered leading edges which improve penetration of the vehicle through both air and water.
