The hydromechanical delay mechanism includes a sealed hydraulic bellows subject to tension by a spring. The time delay determined by the mechanism is controlled by the holes in the plate, which defines the end of the bellows, so that the time taken for the liquid to flow out of the bellows may be controlled. A second bellows receives the liquid after passage through the calibrated holes of the end plate. The liquid used is an oil whose viscosity does not vary greatly with variations in temperature. A locking and release mechanism is arranged to allow the spring to act on the bellows once the time interval is to be started.
