The sleeve-form envelope (1) is designed to contain a set quantity of stacked coins. It is intended for use by banks etc., and incorporates a tear-propagator (20). It is made of paper or similar material, tapers down to a reduced dia at the foot (2), and is closed at the foot by means of a disc. The tear-propagator extends longitudinally along the inside of the sleeve and is accessible enabling the sleeve torn away from the coins. The tear-propagator may comprise a full length piece of wire or tape which is fixed longitudinally to the inside of the sleeve and projects outside.
