The bearing structure for building constructions is provided for locating horizontally extending members, such as cross beams and floors, on load bearing vertical structures. The structure comprises members (1) consisting of pillars (2) and cross beams (3), provided at their upper faces with continuous recesses (4,4'). These recesses form steps effective to support the end portions of adjacent horizontal members, i.e. floors and cross beams. The recesses contain reinforcement to strengthen the junctions.
