A floating hotel comprises a hull having a relatively small length- beam coefficient, apartments arranged in tiers, two or more swimming pools (7) arranged in a cascade and a tunnel or recess (2) serving as a harbour area for yachts. In addition to all the necessary apartment, recreational, general purpose and operational accommodations the ship has also watertight entrance gates (3) which lead to rectangular boat recesses having vertical lifts for lifting the boats in and out of the water.
